How does biometric attendance and access control work in ADDA, including setup, usage, and data syncing?

Q1. What is the Biometric Solution in ADDA?

The biometric solution (Face/Fingerprint/RFID) is integrated with ADDA and is used at the society gate for staff attendance and access control.

Q2. How does the biometric system work?

  • Staff is first registered in ADDA
  • A badge number (User ID) is generated in ADDA
  • The same badge number is entered on the biometric device
  • Staff registers their face/fingerprint once on the device
  • At entry/exit, staff mark attendance on the device
  • Data is automatically synced with ADDA

Q3. Is registration required on both ADDA and the device?

Yes. Staff must be created in ADDA first, and the same badge number should be used while enrolling on the biometric device.

Q4. What happens if the badge number does not match?

If the badge number on the biometric device does not match the one in ADDA, the system creates a separate category as “Unknown”, and those attendance entries are recorded under this category in the ADDA attendance report.

Q5. Does the system support real-time updates?

Yes, attendance data is synced in real-time (subject to internet connectivity).
