When the Whole Number is selected in the invoice settings, ADDA rounds each invoice line item individually after the amount is calculated using its formula. The rounding follows the standard mathematical rounding rule.
How does the rounding work in ADDA invoices?
Rounding is applied at each invoice line item where the amount is calculated using a formula.
ADDA follows the standard mathematical rounding logic:
If the decimal value is less than 0.5, the amount is rounded down to the nearest whole number.
If the decimal value is 0.5 or greater, the amount is rounded up to the nearest whole number.
Example:
Suppose an invoice contains the following charges, and Whole Number is selected as the rounding option.
How the total is calculated:
Each invoice line item is first calculated using its respective formula.
ADDA then rounds each line item individually using the standard mathematical rounding rule.
The final invoice total is the sum of the rounded line items.
Where can I configure the rounding settings?
To configure invoice rounding:
Go to Income Tracker.
Select Member Income Tracker Setup.
Open Auto Invoicing.
Locate the Rounding option at the top of the page.
Choose one of the following options:
2 Decimal Places
Whole Number
Can I change the rounding logic?
No. ADDA uses a predefined mathematical rounding formula, and the rounding logic cannot be customized.
You can only choose how invoice amounts are displayed:
2 Decimal Places – Amounts are displayed with two decimal places.
Whole Number – Each invoice line item is rounded to the nearest whole number before the invoice total is calculated.
Note: The Rounding option is available only for Auto Invoicing. It does not apply to any Manual Invoices, The rounding setting cannot be configured for invoices created manually.
