How do I set up unit characteristics and upload them in bulk in ADDA?

ADDA allows you to upload unit characteristics in bulk using a CSV file. Before doing the bulk upload, a one-time setup is required. Follow the steps below in the same order.

Step 1: Log in and go to Unit Setup
  1. Log in to ADDA.
  2. Click Admin.
  3. Go to Units and Users.
  4. Click Setup.
  5. Click Configure.

Step 2: Add Unit Types
  1. Click Add Unit Type.
  2. Create unit characteristic types required for your property.
  3. Examples:
    Residential
    Commercial
    Villas
  4. Click Add to save.

Step 3: Set Up Unit Characteristics
  1. Click Add Unit Characteristic Type.
  2. Select the unit type you created.
  3. Enter the Title of Characteristic - eg: Bedrooms, Furnishing, Parking
  4. Add the required values for each type.
  5. Examples:1BHK, 2BHK
  6. Furnished, Unfurnished
  7. Covered Parking, No Parking
  8. Save the details.
  9. Complete this step for all required unit characteristics.

Step 4: Download the Bulk Upload CSV Template
  1. On the same page, click on the Bulk Upload Tab.
  2. Select Upload Using CSV.
  3. Click Download CSV Template.

Step 5: Fill the CSV Template
  1. Open the downloaded CSV file.
  2. Fill in the details exactly as per the column headers.
  3. Do not change or delete any predefined fields such as:
      Key Field
      Unit Number
       Building
Note: Please ensure the Unit Type and Unit Characteristics name matches the one’s created in Step 2 & 3.

Save the file in CSV format.

Step 6: Upload the CSV File
  1. Go to Admin → Units and Users → Setup.
  2. Click Bulk Upload.
  3. Select Upload Using CSV.
  4. In Step 3, drag and drop the CSV file or click Browse to select it.
  5. Upload the file.

Step 7: Preview and Validate
  1. Click Preview.
  2. If there are any errors, they will be highlighted in red. You can correct them directly on the same screen.
  3. Correct the errors in the CSV file and upload again if required.
  4. If no errors are shown, proceed to preview.
Step 8: Submit the Upload
  1. Review the preview details.
  2. Click Submit.
  3. Click Yes to confirm.
