When should I use a Community Form to collect event contributions?

Community Forms should be used when the Association is conducting the event and the contributions are being collected into the Association’s bank account.

For example, if the Association is organising a New Year celebration for the community and the contributions are being collected into the Association’s bank account, the Association can create a Community Form, set the contribution amount, raise the invoice, and collect and track the payments.

However, if a group of residents is independently organising an event (Eg., Onam) and the contributions are being collected into their own group bank account or an individual’s bank account, the Association’s Community Form should not be used.

In such cases, the group can use the Events feature to:
How to create an event
1. Add the event name and poster.
2. Upload the event poster or payment QR code.
3. Add payment instructions in the event description.
4. Add a Google Form or other external form link for residents to submit their details after making the payment.
5. Share all relevant event information with residents in one place.

In simple terms:
Association-organised Event→ Community Form → Association bank account
Group of Resident organised Event → Amenity & Events → External/other bank account

This ensures that payments collected on behalf of the Association are processed through the Association’s account, while independently organised resident activities remain separate.
