How to setup billing formula for utility billing?

Please follow the steps below to setup the billing formula for utility billing :

Step 1: Login to ADDA —>> Admin —>> Utility Tracker —>>Setup

Step 2: Select "Add Meter Rule." —>> Choose the Income Head from the dropdown menu —>> If applicable, include the slabs and enter the rates according to the slabs. There are two checkboxes for "Memorize Readings" and "Cumulative Slab". Please read the Note Section below to understand its significance and use it if it helps meet your requirement.

Step 3: Click on "Save" once you have added all the details.

Note:
Memorize Readings: When Memorize Readings is checked, the previous Meter Reading is kept in Memory. For the next month, the Meter Reading can be uploaded as-is ( need not calculate the difference off-line and then upload ). The system will use the difference for calculating the Bill and also save the new Meter Reading in Memory. Please use Income Tracker > Member Income > Batch Posting > Setup Meter Readings to upload the initial Meter Readings.

Cumulative Slab: Cumulative Slab is to be used only for Piped Gas. Only 2 slabs are allowed. Cumulative meter readings will be used to figure out the slab and the meter reading difference will be used for calculating the bill. For eg. After the 6 cylinders ( approx 85kg ) limit is crossed, the commercial rate will be applied. Always use Memorize Readings when using Cumulative Slab. You can set up new Income Heads for Utility under General Ledger > Chart of Accounts > Income
