How does Cab Entry work in ADDA, including Visitor Code-based entry, manual entry by security, approval settings, tracking, and its benefits?

Q1. What is Cab Entry in ADDA?

Cab entry allows security guards to manage and record incoming taxis/cabs for residents using the Gatekeeper app.

Q2. What is the Visitor Code for Cab Entry?

Visitor Code is a pre-approved entry generated by the resident in the ADDA app, which can be used for quick and secure cab entry at the gate.

Q3. How does Cab Entry using Visitor Code work?

  • Resident adds the cab as a visitor and generates a Visitor Code
  • While adding, they can enter the last 4 digits of the vehicle number
  • At the gate, the guard enters the last 4 digits of the cab number under Visitor Code
  • The system identifies it as a Pre-approved entry
  • Entry is granted without displaying the resident’s flat/unit details
  • This ensures privacy and smooth entry management

Q4. How is a cab entry created by security (without Visitor Code)?

  • Guard selects “Cab Entry” in Gatekeeper
  • Enters cab details (vehicle number, driver name, etc.)
  • Maps it to the resident
  • Resident receives a notification for approval (if enabled)

Q5. Is resident approval required for cab entry?

This depends on the user's resident app settings. Approval can be enabled or users can enable silent approval for Cab.

Q6. Can cab entries be tracked?

Yes, all cab entries (including visitor code-based entries) are logged with entry and exit time in ADDA.

Q7. What are the benefits of Visitor Code-based Cab Entry?

  • Faster gate clearance
  • Reduced waiting time
  • Enhanced privacy (no flat details shown)
  • Secure pre-approved access
  • Better visitor experience
